Hi. My name is Elizabeth Kricfalusi, but feel free to call me Miss Adventure.
Okay, so I'm not exactly the poster child for what most people might consider to be the “adventurous” type. I can be quite the chicken, especially when it comes to anything involving heights. I have an extremely low tolerance for pain. And I'm waaay too familiar with the schedule for prime-time TV.
But one of the reasons I've decided to start this blog is because I believe that adventure comes in many different shapes and flavours. One person's climbing Mount Everest is another person's hosting a family Thanksgiving for the first time. I'm not going to go into a list of my own adventures here, otherwise what would I write about in future posts? :) (Although the pics in the left-hand sidebar might give you a bit of a sneak peek.)
My hope for this blog is that visitors will find inspiration to pursue their own adventures, whatever they may be. But even more than that, I hope to get inspired by you! So please, if you read a post that speaks to you somehow, jump in and share your own thoughts on living an adventurous life so that we may all learn from and support each other.
The tagline for this blog, What do you live for?, comes from a good friend of mine who shared one of my earliest, and most exciting adventures—teaching English in Japan. She had one of the most adventurous spirits of anyone I've ever known; there was nothing she wouldn't try. She is definitely one of my inspirations. So, Christine, if you're reading this, what do you live for?
Adventure!
